On Bookcrossing what's in the box is listed on the thread and the person who receives it posts what they've taken out and then put back in.
Perhaps we could just list what's been taken and replaced? _________________ Reading: Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow by Peter Hoeg

That sounds good to me ~ It'll be nice to have a surprise come through the post! _________________ Reading: The Devil and Miss Prym by Paulo Coelho

It would be nice to keep track of what's been taken out and replaced. We could post a thread on here where we just say what we've taken out etc individually. Or we could have a notebook in with the books where we manually log the keepers and replacements and then post it all on the forum when you eventually get the box back. _________________ Currently Reading:
I think Heather's idea of a notebook in the actual box is good. That way we dont know in advance but can still keep a record. _________________ Currently reading: The Tent The Bucket and Me by Emma Kennedy and Granny The Pag by Nina Bawden

If we posted what we put in the box the people yet to get the box would know what was coming (or might still be in the box). But I think it would be nice if we posted what we take out, that way whoever put them in knows their books went to a nice home (!) and if anyone else fancied them they might put in a plea for a loan. But also I agree a notebook in the box to track all ins and outs would be great, that way a recipient would know where a book had come from too.

It's nearly ready to send. Here's a list of everyone participating:
Glynis
Anne C
Ronnie
Blueflower
Sparky
Dani
Heather
Laura
Eightlegs
Mandy J
Nicnic
Miranda
I hope I haven't missed anyone out.
How about we bring the box to Haworth, seeing as lots of us are going? _________________ Reading: Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow by Peter Hoeg

It's ok, Ronnie, I've plenty of shoe boxes I can use. Thanks for the offer. You need to pick a book from the selection yourself - any chance you could bring a book to replace it? I could tell you the list so's you don't duplicate. _________________ Reading: Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow by Peter Hoeg

Right, I've got the box now. I know that Glynis, Ronnie, Sarah and Miranda have added and taken away - who wants it next?
I'm going to have to check and see how much this is going to cost to post - it's pretty heavy!
I may have to improvise - i.e. replace the box with a bookbag or something. _________________ Currently reading: The Tent The Bucket and Me by Emma Kennedy and Granny The Pag by Nina Bawden

I am going away in a couple of weeks and I don't want it to arrive while I am away so I don't know if I should add my name now or wait three weeks until I get back. If there are plenty of people wanting it may be best to wait until September.

I got to do the box in Howarth and wrote in the notebook but I just thought I'd add here in case anyone wanted to see what I put in/took out. I've spoilered it for those that don't!
Spoiler:
Out
Diary of a Nobody - Weedon Grossmith
Regeneration - Pat Barker
In
Heart of Darkness - Joseph Conrad
Captain Corelli's Mandolin - Louis de Bernieres
Wide Sargasso Sea - Jean Rhys
There are 8 books in the box at the moment, along with some other bits and pieces. I'm going to do my exchange this week and then get it off to Heather
