List here the films you've watched as part of the challenge. Only films you've seen from January 2008 will count (these include films watched again).

I'll do my best to update the leaderboard as and when

Edited: Actually, I don't think I'll even attempt a leaderboard - I'll forever be updating it! Instead, I'll create one in Dec so's we can compare notes

To Kill A Mockingbird
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
The Color Purple

All of of these have been brilliant, only just recently read these books to and wished I'd done it sooner.

Once again, I'd totally forgotten about the film challenge

Well I was going to add La Vita Bella/Life is Beautiful, but it's not on the list

Today I bought the book of 1001 films to watch before you die ~ updated edition. Since then I have now subscribed to Love Film and added 12 to my list. My husband and I thought this would be a good way of watching the 1001 films without spending out a huge amount...so we'll see!

I'm quite excited. Off the top of my head I'm not sure what films I've watched this year so I'm going to start from today.

Last night we watched our first Lovefilm DVD and it was Farenheit 9/11 the Michael Moore documentary. I've seen it before but OH hadn't. Even though there were no surprises for me I still ended up in tears throughout. So now it's back in the post and hopefully we'll get our next DVD soon! I'm enjoying this!

Watched film no. 4 Safe last night.

Enjoyed it, found it interesting.  It almost made me think that it had been adapted from a Margaret Atwood book.

Hi Glynis - Kill Bill is my favorite film!
You need to see Kill Bill 2 now - it makes sense of the first one....then you need to see the first one again. I even have the soundtrack in my car stereo. Goodnight Moon by Shiveree is so atmospheric!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDvLJC0vnss
Uma Thurman was fantastic - she trained for months to do it and worked so hard during filming.
I'm a real Taranteno nut - and I love the works and music of his friend
Robert Rodriguez too. I think you can see his band (Chingon) playing on Kill Bill 2 at the end, they do a version of a spanish love song Malarenya Salarosa (sp).
Zan
Sorry I'm such an anorak when it comes to Kill Bill....it's my Star Wars!

Since I started the challenge here are the films I've watched so far:

The Producers (I thought I'd hate it but was pleasantly surprised!)
Ghandi (Fantastic and moving ~ really makes you think)
Brokeback Mountain (I was a bit disappointed after all the hype)
Farenheit 9/11 (Scarey!)

I love the Kill Bill films too Zan, I could watch them over and over again. Uma Thurman is fantastic I love the first fight she has with Vivica A Fox in number 1!
