The Challenge
How many of the films from the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die edited by Steven Jay Schneider can you watch in 2008? The challenge will start in January next year, so only films watched from then on will qualify, but for those of us itching to start (yes me!) thought we can start our lists of films already watched. Bit of a mammoth task considering I've probably watched more on the list than I've read books on the 1001 books list, but hey I love lists so what the heck!
By the way, it's absolutely fine to watch films you've already seen; and we'll be giving the book away in our December prize draw.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
The book is compiled by film critics from around the world.
To see a list of the 1001 films, click here.
Or you can search inside at Amazon here.

I suppose so - sorry to be a stickler, but the same applies to the 1001 book challenge.
Watched Carlito's Way last night and am surprised it's not on the 1001 movies list. Superb film. _________________ Reading: Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow by Peter Hoeg

I have just had a look at the list and I think I have seen about 100 of them but I can't remember very film I have seen.
I will try to keep a check on the films I watch and see how many I can manage - but you know by now my memory isn't good. |

I've just looked at the list and I'm ashamed how few I've seen, especially older ones. As I'm not allowed to buy books till my tbr's down, and I've got sky movies, I think I'll stick to this challenge rather than the book one. I've been watching loads of films lately, this year from the list I've seen:
Platoon
Goodfellas
American Beauty
Mulholland Drive.
