Next week (13th - 20th) has been nominated Agatha Christie week and various activities are going on in Devon near the house.
A few of us on RISI are doing a mini challenge and reading one of her books next week, partly because many people had never read one. I loved her as a child but haven't read one for years so I'm reading 4.50 from Paddington.
I have a couple of others "rescued" from my mum's that are fairly old and yellowed but intact and readable so if anyone wants to join the challenge and read one I will happily send them out. They are Five Little Pigs and Crooked House. |

I did - finished it last night and thought it was a really good story. Not sure how many more I will read but i certainly enjoyed my first taster... |

| Glad you enjoyed it Josie. I haven't read one in years but did enjoy them as a teenager, but you can overdose very easily. But they are certainly fast paced. I started mine yesterday and the murder was on the second page! |

^ The top 10 Agatha Christie mysteries
I love a good murder mystery, and have a good few of her books TBR so maybe I'll use this as an excuse to get stuck in!
Has anyone watched the Marple's with the new actress - Julia McKenzie? I haven't as usually on a Sunday I do my ironing watching Columbo in the afternoon, so to indulge in another 2hrs seems a bit greedy _________________ Current reading: The Last Temptation, Val McDermid ~ 40 @2009

Thanks for that list. I've definitely read a couple of those but a very long time ago. I retrieved several AC's a couple of weeks ago from my mums and 2 of them are in the top 10 so perhaps I need to read a few more.
I've finished 4.50 from Paddington, and thoroughly enjoyed it, didn't want to put it down! |

Only very recently read my first Agatha Christie - Destination Unknown, which I did enjoy very much and so will be considering reading more.
Like you Wonderlake, set myself up doing the dreaded ironing with some uncomplicated tv. It's the sort of thing I record because when I need to knuckle down to the ironing (after delaying as long as humanly possible) you can guarantee there will be nothing on that remotely interests me. For some reason I have failed to record this new version although I have seen it trailered.
