Discuss here your thoughts on the film once you have watched it. Did you (not) enjoy it? Anything that struck you or maybe someone else could help if you have a question? We're not really looking for in depth discussions... just tell us what you think of it!

For those who have watched the film, please choose a star rating based on how much you liked it.

If you do have something to post that may ruin the plot for others, please remember to use the spoiler function (Details: http://risibookclub.myfreeforum.org/ftopic12.php )

This is one of my all time favourite films - Jack Nicholson is wonderful.  In fact, I gave up on reading the book as it was so different from the film

It's been one of those film that I keep meaning to watch, but have never got around to it. I'll be adding it to my rental list and hope it comes soon, as I've always enjoyed films with Jack Nicholson. Lisa x

Saw this earlier this year for the first time. Brilliant, Jack Nicolson is a great actor.

I recommend his latest film The Bucket List too.

I think this is a great film although a little slow in places, but a fantastic plot. Great performance by Jack Nicholson too and I never saw the ending coming.
One interesting thing I heard about the novel is that the author wrote it all in one take (over the course of less than a week I think - I could be mistaken of course). No rewrites at all. Pretty good effort for a first draft wouldn't you say?

I also really enjoyed this film, but agree it did drag somewhat in places. Lisa x
