Discuss here your thoughts on the film once you have watched it. Did you (not) enjoy it? Anything that struck you or maybe someone else could help if you have a question? We're not really looking for in depth discussions... just tell us what you think of it!

For those who have watched the film, please choose a star rating based on how much you liked it.

If you do have something to post that may ruin the plot for others, please remember to use the spoiler function (Details: http://risibookclub.myfreeforum.org/ftopic12.php )

I saw this a few weeks ago when it was first released and loved it.  I thought the two little boys, who play the brothers in flash back at the start of the film, really stole the show together with Mumbai which is the real star of the film. The advertising banner for the film claims something like the feel-good film of the year and inspite of the poverty and violence going on in the story I would agree that it really is a feel-good film.

I've just come back from the cinema after watching this film and I loved it! It has lots of great "feel good" aspects about it, but it's also very real too. I got quite upset at the begging scenes with the children and how they were treated. Jamal's life was incredible, it's amazing he survived to tell the tale. I thought it was very well put together and I loved the movement of time back and forth.

Definitely one to watch and one that'll stay in my memory. 5 stars for me.
