Hello everyone
I stumbled on your lovely site a week or so ago - I was really looking to see if I could find a local reading group I could join at the time. No joy there but I did register here and kept coming back to have a bit of a browse. I decided it was time to be brave and post something rather than just looking. You seem to be a very close knit group and you seem to read just about everything, so hopefully what I read will fit in with someone.
I have just finished Not In The Flesh by Ruth Rendell and am about to start Deadline by Simon Kernick.

Hi Karen, and a very warm welcome to BB. It's hard to dip your toe into a forum (so to speak..) but I'm sure you'll enjoy the craic here. Where is Leuchars? Sorry for being nosey!! _________________ Currently reading - The Italian Boy - Murder and Grave Robbery in 1830s London - Sarah Wise |

| Hello Lovely Treez, it's not nosy, it's interested and I don't mind. One of the things that made me decide to join in was the variety of locations you are all from. We move frequently, so this should be great and it can just move with me. Leuchars is in Scotland on the outskirts of St Andrews on the east coast. |

Hello and welcome Karen. Hopefully you won't find us too close knit, we are all very friendly despite being a smallish bunch. We always welcome new opinions!
Hope you enjoy it here (from someone at quite the other end of the country!) |

Hi Karen, I'm pretty knew here too, and I am from along way away. I was looking for an online book group as well and when I read throught the lists here of books from the previous two years, I had liked what I saw.
I am currently reading The House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus and it is a really good book, well written. I am around 3/4 of the way through and I would highly recommend this book.
I finally got my hands on Seventh Heaven, a September book, and will read that next. _________________ Currently reading: Love in the Time of Cholera |

| Hi Karen. Welcome to BB. (My daughter is called Karen). I am sure you will find that the group isn't so close knit that new people don't fit in. It is great when we get different opinions and more book recommendations. The only problem you will have is where to store all the new books you just 'have' to read! |
