I voted for Memoirs of Geisha:I had that book on my tbr pile for ages and was very pleasantly suprised when I eventually got around to reading it. Though there are a few other good ones on there too. _________________ Currently reading: The Human Stain by Philip Roth

All your suggestions are much appreciated I will probably finish Notes On A Scandal tonight, so will start the next one tomorrow. Looks like it will be The Curious Incident..., which is good as it has been on tbr for ages! Of course, the voting could go another way by then! _________________ My Blog

Have just started The Curious Incident...I think it will be a good read, and a quick one too.
Thanks for your help in choosing _________________ My Blog

I keep trying to read this but get distracted by something else. I think it is the oldest book on my TBR! |

You really, really should go for it. I was the same, I wanted to read it for ages, but it looked so long and just not my thing, but when I eventually read it - I was sooooo kicking myself for not having read it sooner! So read it believe me you wont regret it! _________________ Currently reading: The Human Stain by Philip Roth

I have Memoirs of a Geisha on my tbr list too. I started reading it and the opening paragraphs really draw you in. I'm looking forward to savouring it. _________________ Reading: Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow by Peter Hoeg

I loved the film and after that was determined to read it... then got 8 'pending' swaps so I am battling through those before I can choose what to read myself!! |
