I've Loved You So Long finally arrived after being at the top of my rental list for ages. I loved it and I'm so glad I did because there is always a chance when you look forward to something for so long that it is a bit of a let down when you finally get to it.
It would not suit everyone, there is very little in the way of traditional drama in the story, it's more of an emotional journey of two sisters getting to know each other and coming to terms with the event which resulted in Juliette being imprisoned 15 years previously. Kirsten Scott Thomas is superb as is Elsa Zylberstein who plays her sister Lea. It's difficult to say too much more, the story unfolds very slowly and to say too much would spoil the film for anyone who had not seen it yet.
