Ooh! Watched this the other night after looking at the 1001 list - didn't realise it was this months film!

I really enjoyed it. Kinda reminded me of Home Alone.

Had watched Finding Amanda which was just released in the US with Matthew Broderick and that was described as a Comedy too but wasn't that funny so didn't expect much from this one. He always looks so pale - mind you so did Charlie Sheen.

Wasn't that keen on Jennifer Grey's character (Jeanie)... didn't get why she did what she did at the end.

Well I watched it and wish I'd seen it in the 80s. Bet it was great then. It was good fun and entertaining and Ferris had a cute smile, but it wasn't laugh out loud. Made me smile though. Reckon had I watched this 20 yrs ago, I'd have loved it more. I'm being far too finicky here. Tell you what made me chuckle - the scene where
Spoiler:

the garage attendants take the Ferrari for a spin, something about the guy's face just tickled me; when Jennifer Grey boots Mr Rooney about the head and when Rooney spouts off to a 'parent' on the phone thinking it's a prank call, asking to see Grandma's dead bones

.
