| The only one I have read to date on the list (thanks for posting the link Charlotte) is Brooklyn by Colm Toibin and I would not go all out to suggest that it is a must read at all, in fact I thought it was very light weight and very disappointing. |

Yes they were both good. Although neither of them was a particularly easy read. The Wilderness is about a man with Alzheimers and it's not exactly an enjoyable book because of the subject matter but it's quite good and quite cleverly done as it gets more disorientating as it goes on for us and for the main character.
I liked the Little Stranger a lot! The narrator can be desperately dull at times but there's a point to that and it is very well written. |

I would like The Children’s Book when it comes out in paperback next Jan and I fancy reading How To Paint a Dead Man and The Quickening Maze. Me Cheeta sounds different. I have The Little Stranger and The Wilderness. I am reading Wolf Hall which I am really enjoying but need to get it finished by Sunday to get it back to the library. Not sure about the rest.
