Hello everyone. After 5 years hard labour I've just published my first novel "Staff Required". Its been very well received so far and blueflower is currently reading it so I hope she posts a good review. The novel is very different and difficult to "genre-ise" but deals with life, death, spirituality in this world and the future. Someone has described it as "Star Trek meets Coronation St."
I'm donating all the royalties to Westmorland Mencap in Cumbria. They fund the Riversiders Social Club for adults with learning difficulties in Kendal and some of the members of the club feature in the novel and were a major inspiration. If you enjoyed "The lovely Bones" and "Beyond Black" and/or you are a fan of Kurt Vonnegut this books for you. It's available on Amazon and can be ordered at Waterstones but I make £2.00 royalty as opposed to 60p if you order from me at £7.99 +p&p.
Kevin Jones.

Hi Kevin.
Just finished the book last night. I will write a review about it when I have given it some thought. I would also like to ask you a few questions about it which I will try to put together.
It was good to met you last Tuesday and I believe the party was a great success. Karen brought some pictures in to work.
Hope you enjoy BB. |

Hello Kevin and welcome to Babbling Books
The lovely Gwen (blueflower) sent me a copy of your book - thanks very much for signing it for me too. I plan to read it over the Christmas break and will let you know my thoughts. _________________ Currently reading: The Tent The Bucket and Me by Emma Kennedy and Granny The Pag by Nina Bawden

I read this over the weekend and enjoyed it very much. I would like to have a bit of a think about it and so will post more thoughts in the review section later in the week.
