I missed last month's so I'll nominate my fave read of last month - Case Histories by Kate Atkinson.  This has been sitting on my TBR for yonks and I was only prompted to read it after I read One Good Turn (the latest and third one in this literary crime series).  It is so well written with a vast array of quirky, vibrant characters who are so well rounded that you feel them in the room with you as you read.  It's simultaneously dark and funny and the story just flows along even though it flits from one time frame to another - sort of stream of consciousness but it's so well controlled by the author - a fantastic read!

Oops, sorry this turned into a mini-review, I got a bit over enthusiastic there...

I'm going to nominate 'Hurting Distance' - Sophie Hannah. It wasn't the normal choice I'd go for and really played on my mind when I wasn't reading it. Not the best written and most enjoyable novel I've red this month - but it is the one that made the most impact and that I will be telling people about
