I am absolutely loving this book. It's easy to digest - esp. compared to Cloud Atlas The Barbara Covett character is a bit weird, but I'll say no more. I've 80 pages of the book still to read and had a quick peek at the still photos of the film and have to say Judi Dench has been made to look very scary

Will no doubt finish the book tomorrow. It's so refreshing to fly through this book after Cloud Atlas. I am much more curious about the characters in Notes on a Scandal.

I read this one last year & it was a good read but I didn't find the characters that likeable & I thought Sheba was immature. However still a very good read. Judi Dench seems perfect for the character of Barbara & I'd loved to have known more about her history.
I have the book in my swap pile if anyone wants it & another by Zoe Heller also. I won't be too fussy if anyone wants to swap or pm me if you want to borrow it & I can send it on.

I too read this last year and enjoyed it. Again, makes you think about people and their motivation etc. Read her first novel too, Everything you know which was ok but nothing like as good as Notes.
