Discuss here your thoughts on Sin City once you have watched it. Did you (not) enjoy it? Anything that struck you or maybe someone else could help if you have a question? We're not really looking for in depth discussions... just tell us what you think of it!

For those who have watched the film, please choose a star rating based on how much you liked it.

If you do have something to post that may ruin the plot for others, please remember to use the spoiler function (Details: http://risibookclub.myfreeforum.org/ftopic12.php )

I absolutely hated this one and gave up watching it. Really not my cup of tea!

I watched this a while ago when it first came out, not my usual choice of film but I did really enjoy this one. I quite liked the 'comic book' look/feel to it and ended up liking it more than I thought I would!

Thank you Glynis, it's not as spooky as the other one!

I like your firework one too, can't wait to go and see a display this year and get warm and toasty (and sooty) around the fire! x

I'm looking forward to going to a display too. Fancy wrapping up in winter woolies and eating roasted chestnuts. Can't wait, I'm such a big kid.

Stayed up until 2am this morning watching this one and I really enjoyed it. A found the comic book style it was filmed in very refreshing and thought it worked really well. Some may find it far to gruesome in places, but seeing as the film was title SIN City, then I didn't feel that any of those scenes were out of place or over done. Lisa x

I saw this in the movies when it came out, and I didn't like it that much. I thought it sacrificed content for form. It looked good, but the plot was too predictable. Can't actually remember too much about it now!

I really like this film ~ I saw it when it came out and thought it was quite refreshing. I don't usually like comic book movies but this one was different as it was a comic book on screen. I borrowed a copy of the graphic novel from a friend and loved it. I've never given that kind of thing any time but it changed my point of view!

I like this film a lot because it's original and pretty well done. My only quibble is that I expected the three stories to overlap a little bit more or for there to be some great twist or surprise at the end. So I give it four stars because it was really good but had the potential to be so much better.

Its a very stylish film and I do really like the look of it, Rourke was very good but overall I just didnt like it as much as I felt I should given the hype and reviews I had heard about it, might be a film that I take another look at in the future
