Santa's been, Santa's been.....Brian thinks he came on Saturday, but can't quite remember which day it was, so I do apologise Santa,in case you thought I was being ungrateful! I wasn't, just been in hospital since Friday, as most of the lovely people here will know, and am only now looking at the mail from the past few days. Which was thoughtfully put on my desk in the study, but have only ventured to the top floor for the first time today-and glad that I did! _________________ Currently reading,

Received a Royal Mail card saying we need to pay £1.16 postage on an underpaid item. I went to the PO sorting office thinking it might be my secret santa pressie, but instead it was a Christmas card. The sender needed to pay 16p more, and I ended up paying that plus a £1 handling fee. Outrageous! So blummin annoying. Had to queue for ages and suffer people staring at my conjunctivitis (I'm full of cold). I look like such a ming mong and feel a right leper. Got to do the school run in an hour as well. Wish I had some big sunglasses to hide behind now. Or an eye patch _________________ Reading: Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow by Peter Hoeg

I'm so sorry to laugh at you when you are feeling poorly - but that quote 'ming mong' really made me chuckle!
Hope you soon feel better xxx _________________ Currently reading: The Tent The Bucket and Me by Emma Kennedy and Granny The Pag by Nina Bawden

I know the feeling Glynis - I actually wore my sunglasses on the school run today, both ways even though it was rather dark...am also dosed with the cold and no amount of make up can make me look any better so I thought what the hell!! what a great word, ming mong.... _________________ Currently reading - The Italian Boy - Murder and Grave Robbery in 1830s London - Sarah Wise |

Oh well you gotta laugh I suppose. I felt such a scruff waiting for the kids to come out. I attempted conversation with a couple of the mums, but seeing as I'm a new kid on the block, and looked rough, they didn't accept me into the fold I'll make an extra effort to look smart for the school play next week I've had to chuck out my mascara. Golly hope this clears up for our book group Christmas do Anne
Hope you feel better soon Treez. It's no joy is it?
Off to get lemsipped up. Good excuse to slink off to bed with A Thousand Splendid Suns snicker snicker _________________ Reading: Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow by Peter Hoeg
