Watched this last night after reading the Harry Mulisch's novel for Reading Group a little while ago.

I really enjoyed the film, I thought it did a very good job of cramming a 700+ page novel into a 2 hour film. In fact, I think I enjoyed the film more than the book! I was a little worried that I was only following the film because I already knew all the back ground to the story and the characters but my husband watched without having read the book and seemed to enjoy it too.

The casting of the actors for the parts in the film was excellent in all respects but especially Stephen Fry and Greg Wise who were perfect as Onno and Max.
