My 7 yr old son has read several of these series and he really enjoyed them. Ideal for encouraging independent reading, moving onto chapters, they're like a younger version of the young Bond series.
Each book is set in a different country and you get info on the geographical location of each country, a few useful phrases in the native language, some cultural info, a recap of the main characters in each book, the spy equipment used by Jack and all this is presented as if it is in Jack's briefing before each mission.
Highly recommended for emerging readers, both male and female, who will derive the satisfaction of reading a "proper" book in chapter format.

Ooh, thanks Treez, I've wondered about these as they are often in The Book People catalogue cheap but I wasn't sure what they'd be like. Might have to try them!!
