The people have spoken We will be reading one chapter a week, which should be just a nice manageable amount. Don't worry too much about keeping up -its supposed to be fun The threads will be open to add to anytime.
So, here's the deal (I've just put the first few weeks in for now):
Week 1 (22nd-29th July): Three-Inch Golden Lilies
Week 2 (29th July-5th August): Even Plain Cold Water is Sweet
Week 3 (5th-12th August): They All Say What a Happy Place Manchukuo Is
Week 4 (12th-19th August): Slaves Who Have No Country of Your Own

This is great, thanks Nicnic. I'll think of questions to get the ball rolling as I'm reading each chapter. Looking forward to it. _________________ Reading: Miss Smilla's Feeling for Snow by Peter Hoeg

I thought you were talking about a different type of breakdown when I saw this thread! Glad it is just the book that is being broken down! _________________ Currently reading: The Human Stain by Philip Roth

Blast, I've only discovered the readalong thingy today (the 29th). (but wait, it's only 3 pm, maybe I'll get to finish the chapter until midnight tonight? So what if I don't actually have the book, right?)
Must find book, must read first chapter, must find book, must read first chapter...
May I just say I find this idea extraordinarily great? (have I just created a word?)
(I only fear that a week might be too much time to be spent between chapters, my memory isn't what it used to be in my younger days ) _________________ http://www.kaysbookshelf.com <--- My book blog
