Desert Island books

If you were stucj on a desert island, what 5 books would you most like to have with you?

I'm going to go with....

The Bible-for one I would be happy to have it for spiritual reasons, and another it is big so would last a long time!

Jane Eyre- my absolute favourite fiction

Tuesdays with Morrie- I adore this book

After that it gets tough.  Maybe 84 Charing Cross Road actually, as I have really enjoyed that recently.

And then I'd take Gone With the Wind as it has been on my TBR so long!!!!!

Yikes that's a really hard question!

1. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
2. Little Boy Lost by Marghanita Laski
3. I'd like to take a Jane Austen but which one?!....Persuasion or Pride and Prejudice.
4.I'd need to take something funny so...probably Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons
5. and....um....this is difficult...

Can we have the Bible and the complete works of Shakespeare like they do on Desert Island Discs?

I would leave teh Shakespeare behind!  Not a big fan!  But if the Bible counts then I get another choice and I think that would be Babycatcher by Peggy Vincent.  It is a fabulous memoir.
