Literary Festivals - 2009

Bath Literature Festival : 28th February - 8th March
Established in 1999, this is now a well established mix of local, national and international writers offering over 100 events in the city which played host to Jane Austen.   www.bathlitfest.org.uk

Dubai Literary Festival : 25th February - 1st March
Sponsored by Emirates Airlines, this is the first ever Middle Eastern literary festival and promises an exciting international linuep.

Aye Write : March

One week of varied literary events takes place at Glasgow's Mitchell Library, culminating in the presentation of a prize in memory of creative writing teacher Clare Maclean to the year's best novel by a writer born or living in Scotland.   www.ayewrite.com

York Literature Festival : 1st - 15th March

Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival : March-April

Centred round the magnificant Tudor Hall of Christ Church some 250 writers debate, discuss and shre their passions for thier subjects.  Last year saw the launch of the creative writing course and featured talks and masteclasses for the potential writer.

Ikley Literary Festival : October
