My speciality, soggy books !

OOH I am so annoyed!
My water bottle leaked, once again, into my bag (see comments on Cold Comfort Farm!)

This was particularly upsetting as I was bringing into work a book as a surprise for my colleague who is going to New York- Pug Hill, by Alison Pace.  I thought she'd like to read it to get her in the mood

The book was originally a present to my off my husband ... and I've just put it in the bin

Sigh, I know it's only a book, and easily replaced but still

What a shame. You need to get yourself some of those resealable freezer bags from the supermarket to protect your books when they are in your bag. They stop the pages getting dog-earred too!

Aah, that sounds like a good idea !
I was thinking that I need to get a solid water bottle with a decent cap like this

Oh no, what a shame for you wonderlake. I have the problem with leaky bottles in my bag too. My hubby bought me a nice leather large handbag for Christmas and I've been using it every day as I can put nappies etc in it along with my bits and not lug a changing bag around with me. However yesterday one of the boys juice bottles leaked into my bag ruining everything in it and leaving me with a blackcurrant puddle in the bottom.    At least I didn't have a book in there so all wasn't completely lost.

That's an excellent idea Karen about the sealable freezer bag. I'll recommend that to hubby as he ruins books when he's reading them on the train to work with the bashing that they undergo in his bag!

Do these bottles not leak then? Every reusable bottle I've ever used for my boys has leaked!!

I've never had an issue with either of these.
