Newbie!

Hi,

I just joined today. I'm 24 and just started my first proper job after 6 years of uni. I live on my own in Derby. I love reading (among other things) and since I finished uni in the middle of September I have finished reading 11 books and at the moment I have 4 books on the go.

My books are among my most treasured possessions, which I proved when I moved in and the first bits of furniture I bought were bookcases.

I'm looking forward to the various challenges you have. The film one could be interesting. I have 13 from the 1001 list on my shelves and my parents have about 17 others, so that's about 30 I can easily watch.

Thanks!

I'm busy reading through Patrica Cornwell's crime series at the moment. That ought to keep me out of trouble for another week or so.

I also like fantasy, sci-fi, classics, comedy and romantic novels. If I had to choose just one author to be my favourite it would be Terry Pratchett. And if I could take just one book to a desert island it would probably be Nightwatch by Terry Pratchett. Although I think living on a desert island would drive me mad. I'm babbling already it seems. Oh well!
