I love Northanger Abbey. I've read The Mysteries of Udolpho which it spoofs and actually really liked that too but it really gives you some idea of what Austen was trying to do with NA and it's very funny take on those gothic novels. I think it's a little bit difficult to understand when you take it out of context as being a spoof/satire which maybe why it's not so much read as the others. Although I think it's a great read in it's own right.

I'm having trouble with this one and may not stay the course. I'm not a Jane Austin fan anyway, but even so I'm just finding this so Dull - sorry Charlottestar
