One of them - Nineteen Seventy Seven is in the 1,001 books you must read before you die... (the second in the quartet) but I'd have to check my copy of 1,001 at home to find out the reason why it is recommended ... I'm not entirely sure which episode of the TV series this book correlates with either...[/b]

If you look on Amazon you can read inside a few pages.
I realy like this feature on amazon as I buy a lot of books on-line, it gives you a chance to see if you like the style.
