Recognition not only for his writing but for his wonderful efforts on behalf of charities, Alzheimers research and also the Orangutan foundation. Royalties from performances of Discworld plays goes to the Orangutan foundation. Also Terry donated £500,000 to Alzheimers research - Fans are trying to raise the other half a million in the "Match it for Pratchett" Campaign.
