Has anyone read To War with Whitaker: The Wartime Diaries of the Countess Ranfurly by any chance? It is the May read for my reading group, but it is not an easy one to find. I have found a few second hand copies on Amazon Marketplace. I like the sound of the book and think it might be a keeper. If so I thought I might go for one of the hardback copies I've seen - it's a bit hard to decide when you can't see the condition of a second-hand book. If anyone has read it and could offer me their view on it, it might help me make up my mind which copy to buy.

Not read it but it does look interesting. I suppose if it is the book of the month for your group it will be in demand at the library. I get books from the library but sometimes I hate giving them back! Sometimes I end up buying a copy.

I have bought (and sold) second hand books on Amazon and have never been disappointed in the condition of them. They are usually truthfully described.
