Got this for xmas in a deluxe boxset which includes a film lithograph and 5-count them- 5 versions of the film including a new final cut, thre theatrical version, the directors cut,the international theatrical cut and a working print of the film not seen before.

just watched the new version which has been touched up a little and is Ridley Scott's final version of the film so only have 4 other versions to go and all the documentaries to watch!!!!!

This is still my fave movie of all time from the music (by vangellis) to the set to the whole premise also explored in the novel NEVER LET ME GO about what it is to be human. I actually find it rather a sad film because the Replicants(cybernetic human clones) who come to earth only do so to extend their lives beyond the four years that their bodies are programmed to last and just want a chance to live a little longer but are mercilessly hunted down by harrison ford's character.

anyone else got any thoughts on this film....?

I used to share a house with a bloke who, like you, loved this film. His favourite was the Directors cut and yes I did watch it. I did enjoy it, as you say, it does make you think about what being human means. Definitely a film I could see again but I'm not sure about 5 times with differences!!!
