Secret Santa 2007

If you'd like to take part in this year's Secret Santa, could you please PM Glynis or Sirg1006 by 15th November at the latest? (The earlier the better )

We'll let you know by PM who to send your gift to, but obviously you won't know who's sending you a gift.

Please spend no more than £5 for your gift - it can be new or used.

Please post your wish lists here - does a maximum of 10 books per wish list sound ok? It's ok to change your lists - we'll let you know when we'll be allocating everyone a Secret Santa, so you'll know when to finalise your lists.

Thanks, Glynis x

Let me know if I've missed any vital info out!

I don't see why not, as long as they're under £5

It is practically impossible to buy a book under £5 over here as we do not have the big chain supermarkets. So mine will probably be used but "as new". The only problem here is if it is a very recent book.

That's cool
I'll probably look for as new books on RISI and in charity shops for my gift, but if I have no joy there will buy new from Play or BookPeople. I'm really looking forward to this - must post my wish list asap!

Is this being finalised this week? I'm only asking as I keep editing my wishlist and need to know when it needs to be finalised.

Thanks

Glynis is away just now but we thought about the 15th so people can get them bought and then they'd be sent on the 1st like last year to be sure they arrive in time for xmas.

So if there are last min changes to wishlists better to get them done so you don't end up with 2 books the same

Sorry this is off topic but why isn't the word T H I N K working? Everytime I write it, I seem to be getting a red X? (see post above and on my secret santa wishlist)

Yes we send them secretly, then the recipient guesses who sent it on the Thank you thread. We do eventually tell all

God question Anne! I think last year some of us couldn't resist opening before Christmas and the rest of us opened the pressies on Christmas Day. I'm going to be a good girl and wait til Christmas Day, but I guess it's up to you.
