Hi - new to this so hope I get it right. I read this book a while ago and found it just OK. I have certainly read more gripping books and I found it hard going.
I am currently reading "The Lunar Men" by Jenny Uglow.

I read this about 2 yers ago, and so a lot ofteh detail is hazy. However, I wasn't overly impressed by it-it had had numerous good reviews but I'm not sure if it was the subject matter, writing style or more likely both which I found unappealing. As it was a fairly short book I made it to the end-had it been 100 pages longer I may have given up on it as it was so depressing and an uncomfortable read. _________________ Katey

I also read this book a couple years ago after being told by someone that it was the best book they had ever read. Very disappointing, I did not see what she saw in it. Can't really remember it all that well, just remember wondering why is was popular.
