I'm afraid this book has been a bit slow for me and after 100 pages I have given up.

I read this while babysitting so it did seem to drag out just reading a few hours at a time. I really enjoyed it by the end though - as someone said, last 100 pages it picked back up.

Spoiler:

It did sound like Joseph had been doing it but at 14 or whatever age he was, kinda hard to believe he'd be able to muder them in that way.

I liked that Mary had been convinced she'd set the fire and that Krueger hung himself but the ribbon in his hand... not sure just didn't seem like he'd do that. I was half expecting Dearing not to show up at the end and die so it was never revealed. Always suspected him though. And yes it would have been nice to have a better explanation of why his wife committed suicide and why he'd been killing them.

I'll read more of Rogers work. Just spread them out though.

D
