It lurked on my tbr for ages!! I think I actually started it before (about 10 years ago) but gave up on it. It takes a bit of concentration, but it's a great story and really interesting with the interwoven plot. Definitely worth it!

In July I finished
- Surfacing, by Margaret Atwood; enjoyed it, very mysterious and would definetly read it again,
and read
- Geek Love, by Katherine Dunn; this was okay, I read it as it was selected as a group read and in fact have probably marked it down in my mind as no-one else has really commented *woe is me
- Wise Blood, by Flannery o'connor; one of my husband's books, and now one of my favourites ! Really enjoyed it, found the characters really funny ! I think I am going to be getting my dad a copy for Xmas
- Seventh Heaven, by Alice Hoffman; another BB group read, not really my cup o'tea, but harmless none-the-less. Also it only took a couple of days to read so it helped to bump up my 50-book challenge total

I read the first 6 Poldark novels by Winston Graham and loved every single one of them and I've got the next 6 waiting on my tbr.
Ross Poldark
Demelza
Jeremy Poldark
Warleggan
The Black Moon
The Four Swans
and then...
Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy Very good...took me a long time to get into it. I'm not sure I'm a big Hardy fan but I did enjoy it more than Return of the Native.
The Fatal Three by Mary Elizabeth Braddon I love love love M.E Braddon
The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton Was ok...bit predictable. Good summer read.
A Far Cry from Kensington by Muriel Spark Brilliant!
The Great Western Beach by Emma Smith Brilliant brilliant! About a Cornish childhood between the wars. Really well written, very evocative of the era and the seaside.
The Voluptuous Delights of Peanut Butter and Jam by Lauren Liebenberg Was ok. Enjoyed it but not blown away.
