The only thing is I also realised that I own a load more of the 1001 that I haven't read. At first I felt guilty but then I started to feel encouraged as I'll not need to spend out much more money for the time being....although I did go on the book people website and am tempted by their fiction collections!...I really am an addict!

I'd say having 1001 books on your TBR is good news, means they are accessible and you are doing the challenge whilst not adding to the numbers of books waiting to be read - yeah!

But of course, new books will always be tempting, I've bought 3 since Christmas with no justification! I think most of us are addicts!!!

I've just finished All Quiet on the Western Front, which I really enjoyed.  I think I need something a bit light hearted to read now though!

I thought All Quiet was good too Ruth - I was suprised at how passive it was, which seemed to make the horror of the war stand out more for me. Definately read something fluffy now tho!!!

I'm going to try and read some of these 1001 challenge books this year. I looked through my bookshelves and realised I've got about 25 of them on there that I haven't even read! I'm aiming to average 1 per month as a minimum I think, although didn't read any in January, oh well got some catching up to do already.

I'm going to read George Orwell's Animal Farm as my 1st challenge book for 2008 and it's going to be my next read after The Thirteenth Tale.
