Just placed an order with Redhouse Books and we can't wait to receive them. The books are going to Charis' dad's so they have plenty to read when she visits. Here's what she chose:

Mr Men Complete Collection - we recently bought the Little Miss collection which she loves.

Miffy Collection - 16 books

More Pants book and CD - she's attracted to Nick Sharratt's illustrations and loves anything silly.

Eat Your Peas - Kes Gray and Nick Sharratt

Tusk Tusk - David McKee - she loves animals and really likes Elmer

Isn't it lovely to order a pile of books and then wait for them to be delivered? You get that lovely feeling all over again when the parcel comes.

I remember Mr Men when I was a girl and my boys had them well over a decade ago and they are still fantastic today. I don't know who Miffy is, but we also had several books by Nick Sharratt and we remember Elmer too.

Yes it is soooo lovely   I always remember Mr Skinny when I was little. I'm sure you'd recognise Miffy, Karen, if you saw her. I read the books when I was small too - by Dick Bruna.

That sounds like a lovely collection of books to wait for! We are Mr Men and Little Miss fans in our house too. Laurence loves all the stories (we have a random selection of both) and even Kiran (whose 22 months) likes to look at the bright pictures in the books.

We are big fans of Nick Sharratt here too, Glynis.  His illustrations are fab.  We have Pants and currently have More Pants out of the library. Eva brought in Pants for her teacher to read to the P1s at school, she eventually did after she vetted it!  I'm a bit more dubious about her bringing in More Pants as it does include "farty pants" which goes down well at home but probably not so well with Ms Smyth!!

The Daisy books are a big hit here too especially Eat your Peas as they are Eva's least favourite vegetable.
