A quirky film that will not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I loved it. There is a mix of drama, comedy and pure fairytale fantasy that should probably be doomed to failure. The little girl was a show stealer and I have to think that the director was setting up to catch genuine reactions from her because I don't think one so young would be able to act to that level.
Visually it was the most beautifully shot film. A little gem and I know I've said it already, but I loved it.

It was not on general release Sarah, I saw it trailered at the Arts Centre - I think it won something at Cannes last year. We meant to see it there but they never stay for long and we missed it. My husband really enjoyed it too (though he is not the norm, the guys at work can't understand why he watches films that are on at that cinema - not enough fast cars, blood, guts and so on!).
